Field Trip

On Friday April 23rd I went on my Spanish field trip. We left at 5am & went to the San Luis Rey Mission.
-Old town L.A. where Alice Fiddler got herself cartooned in like 10 minutes for $10..it looked awesome (i wanted to get my done but, we had to leave so hopefully I'll be able to some other time for about the same price).
-Then we went to Knott's Berry Farm Resort where Alice, Alexis & Sarah & I roomed together. We ate dinner, went swimming & went & ate at Tutti Frutti Frozen Yougurt..Delicious!! :) Then we hung out in the hotel room & our teacher taped all of the doors until morning.
-In the morning we checked out & we had to run to the bus because we had to put our things on it...he thought everybody already did that but..we didn't it was soo funny!! Then we went to Knott's 10am-10pm & we rode almost every ride!! I got a Snoopy Surf's Up shirt!!:) Then we went to McDonald's so people could eat & John was spending all of his $ on a stupid game trying to get an ipad...he finally stopped. I didn't get home until 4:30am & left for church at 10:30.
~~I had so much fun packed into 2 days & I'm sad that it is all over!!

Spring Break

I really didn't do much except chillax this spring break (i have today off too)!

-I had track practices this break...i know lame (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Today {9am-11am}. We have a track meet tomorrow at Cibola.

~Monday we (my fam) went & watched 'The Bounty Hunter' & played 2 rounds of golf @ the Yuma Fun Factory. I also got a wallflower from Bath & Body Works & got new spikes & got a gel arch for my track shoes.
--My shin (on the side) has been hurting & I'm going to talk to my school trainer about it & see if the gel arch will help. (i've been icing & stretching my leg but, it still hurts....hopefully I can get it better soon!! )

~Tuesday & Wednesday we (Haylee, my mom & I ) watched records on our tv. Wednesday night we went easter dress shopping...Haylee & I got 2 adorable dresses.

~Thursday we went to CA at about 4pm to spend as much time as we could with my dad.

~Friday we went shopping again but didn't get anything...except a cardigan (sp?) & ate lunch at my dad's store. Then when dad got home from work we ate dinner & played leggreto (sp?) & scrabble.

~Saturday we watched General Conference ate lunch at dad' work again. Then again we ate dinner & Haylee, dad & I played scrabble while watching '2012' (the movie was pretty good).

~Sunday we watched Gerneral Conference ate lunch & went home.

~Today I'm trying to finish up some things that I need to do before school tomorrow.

**I've been reading the book The Hunger Games this weekend & I'm really enjoying it!!

Where to begin????
~ Shawna came into town Jan 22nd - 26th & I enjoyed the time I had to talk & hang out with her! :P
-Jan. 23th I went to the stake dance & I danced with the cutest guy!! I had so much fun at the dance!! :)
~I have watched 'When in Rome', 'Dear John' & 'Valentine's Day' since I last posted ..all of which I loved!! :D

~Nothing has really happened besides the same seminary, school, track, homework, dinner, & bed schedule!
-I have a choir concert on Tuesday & I'm not really confident with the group.
-There is a track meet on Thursday but don't know if i'm going because only the top 6 people per event will go (its in El Centro).
-I have been improving in track & hope to be able to go to one of the meets!

~My mom went to Utah at the beginning of the month (for about 5 days) for my cousin & his wife & kids sealing in the temple.

-My grandpa passed away on President's day about 2 weeks ago...it just doesn't seem real to me.

(I miss you grandpa)!

-So my mom left yesterday to San Francisco for my grandpa's memorial (b/c his kids live there & he wanted his ashes in the San Francisco Bay & they saved some of his ashes to bury in his rose garden). My mom will go to Texas with my grandma for a while & expects to be back home on the 10th.

-Sometime in the summer (probably in the beginning of June) my mom, haylee & I will be going to my grandma's house for our own memorial b/c we couldn't go to this one. I'm glad that we will be able to do this b/c I wanted to go to Texas this summer & this will get me there. During my visit there I plan on spending time with my grandma, the Shipley's & the Sorensen's.

~My dad got home early early early this morning & will be here until Wednesday.
-Shawna & the kids are going to arrive here tomorrow & will be staying for about week.

~Thank goodness for my dad or Shawna for being here most of the time my mom is gone b/c I'm in charge of cooking dinner every night & I haven't had a lot of experience in the kitchen so they will be helping me! :)
-My mom told me once she gets back I will be helping her in the kitchen more often so I can learn to cook.

Busy but having fun

Pre-season track is doing okay..I guess. I was really out of shape & I'm still working on it.
~During my Martin Luther King 3day weekend I watched 'Avatar'..which was really good. I thought it was going to be stupid but, I talked to a lot of people & they said it was good, so I went..& I'm glad I did.

~Maggie & I finished 10 hours of piano playing/teaching...& I'm proud of how Maggie improved. Maggie & I played Swanee River (duet) together at YW's New Beginnings on Wednesday. It went really well & people were suprised how we did.
-I accompanied the YW on the piano to 'I Walk By Faith' it went ok...the ending got a little messed up but, that is ok. We are doing it again on Sunday in Sacrament meeting so I have to practice it again..hopefully I'll do better.

~Yesterday I got out of school at 1:45 because of the high winds & rain. I played in the rain for about 30 minutes...Maggie, Jamie, Haylee & I went on the golf course & slid in the puddles...it was fun!! :) The only bad part was that last night my legs started hurting..like huge bruises but, they didn't show (today they feel better)!
-Yesterday there was a tornado watch & as the night went on the weather calmed down & stayed that way!
-Last night I rented 'Star Trek' from the redbox & watched it with my parents...it was good (I didn't think I was going to like it).

~Today school was cancelled because the district thought that the weather was going to be worse than yesterday..they were WAY WRONG!!! I just like how Heavenly Father has a sense of humor...I started laughing when I woke up this morning & saw the bright sun!! :DToday was a beautiful day in Yuma..sunny with a breeze..it did get colder outside at about 2.
-So, I'm upset because I'll have to make up school on a day I would have gotten off..which I would actually want...but oh well. Well look at the bright side I got 2, 3day weekends!! :)
***So that is what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks...being busy, but having fun. :)

I went back to school on the 7th (I know weird right.starting on a Thursday)! Today we started actual work again & i'm doing pre-season for track! :)
~On the 20th (of Jan.) the YW are having YW in Excellence & I'm putting 10 hrs. in helping Maggie play the piano...I REALLY NEED TO PICK A SONG FOR HER TO PLAY & FINISH MY HRS!!!! We have a lot of work to do with so little time!

Winter Break

I had 2 1/2weeks off of school for christmas & new years.
-Josh & Amanda arrived the 21st of Dec. (monday) & we hung out & celebrated Christmas with each other.
-Then we went to my grandparent's house in CA on Sunday 23th of Dec. after church! We hung out, played Apples to Apples, played Shanghi, playing Haylee's & my DS's & enjoying each others company!! We watched 'Sherlock Holmes' & went to Hollywood Boulevard for 2 hours...(so we wouldn't get a ticket). I hope I can go again so I can take my own pics & be able to take my time looking at everything!! :)
-Jake left on the 30th & Josh & Amanda left on the 1st!
-On the 1st I stayed up for CA's new year...& drank some sparkling cider..yummy!! :D
-For the rest of my stay I read a couple of books, watched 'Princess & the Frog' & went to the LA Zoo...I saw kangaroos!! :)
-Mom, haylee, & I left on the 4th after church & lunch!
***Thanks so much Nanna & Grandpa for letting us stay with you again! :P

-When I got home from the trip I cleaned my room, did my chores & got ready to go back to school. I hung out with Maggie on our last free night!! Thanks Maggie I had a fantastic time playing Mario Party 8 (even though you beat me)!! :) That was my amazing Christmas break & new year!! :)

Finally Christmas break has come!! :) I'm glad that i don't have to worry about waking up early for awhile (sleeping in is amazing)!! I did my finals on wednesday, thursday & friday. Here are the results:

~ All except Choir & Algebra were 100 questions. I still have A's in all the classes (don't worry...mom). :P

The temple trip was amazing!! I really had fun during the car ride & loved being at the temple!! :) We even ate in the cafeteria which was cool! Then going shopping at the mall was fun too! I'm glad I went & had a great time! :D

Yesterday it felt amazing & it was cloudy...but all it did was sprinkle!! :( I was very disappointed & at about 7 the wind was going crazy...i could hear the furniture out back on our porch moving!!! Today was a sunny with a breeze day & was a bit chilly!

**Something I forgot to mention last time was my mom is my new mia maid advisor (she teaches the lesson on sunday in YW).

--- Tuesday was my b-day & at school I got a lot of happy birthday's...idk why but...I like it when people tell me happy birthday! The funny thing was all day people asked my if it was my birthday when I was carrying a birthday bag around!! :) After school...my mom, Haylee & I checked to see if we had everything packed & left at about 5:30pm to my grandparents houe! We got to their house at about 11pm (my time)!
--- Wednesday my mom, Haylee, Nanna & I did a little Christmas shopping & just hung out for the rest of the day! Oh...& we ate my ice cream cake...yummy!! :)
--- Thurdsday (Thanksgiving) we stuffed our tummies!! My parents, Nanna, Haylee & I went & watched 'The Blind Side'...I recommend everybody to watch it (it had clean language, no sex scenes, & was a great movie!!)! After letting our tummies settle for a while after eating we ate pie! :)
--- Friday we all except my grandpa woke up late....we all woke up & were like "that's what time it is" (or at least I was)! I guess that is what happens when you don't take a nap after you eat a big meal!! :) We just hung out & we played football...I was practicing with my left...I got better after awhile of making a fool out of myself (I'm definitely right handed!!!)! :P
--- Saturday we played a couple games & hung out!! :)
---Sunday we went to church ate lunch & left about 45 minutes after eating!! I wish we could have stayed longer! :(
---Today was back to school & that boring routine! Even with the late start today I was tired when I had to wake up...I was spoiled at my grandparents house!!

Busy but Fun!!

This past week has been busy but fun!!!
~Saturday Shawna & the kids arrived at about 4:30pm! That evening I went to an 80's church dance!! I had an great time! Here are some pics! :)
~Monday & Tuesday nothing really happened except Amanda came & visited (she stayed at her parent's house)!
~Wednesday for mutual we had a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt, we went around door to door asking for Thanksgiving donations for Cross Roads Mission!
~Thursday night at 9 pm I watched New Moon (3 hours before the regular premeire..hehe)..it was hands down better than Twilight!! I had a great time!
~Yesterday Shawna, Amanda & the kids left when I was in school, I can't wait to hang out with them again preferably not during school so I can actually spend time with them!! I babysat & hung out with Maggie & she spent the night!!
~Today Maggie, Haylee & I played with water balloons & jumped in & out of the pool (water was cold but, outside was hot)! I got my grandpa Barber's b-day present for me & Ashley's I love them & can't wait to get more (3 days until my b-day)! :)

I was thinking about deleting my blog because nobody reads it. But, I guess I was wrong...for some this is the easiest way for them to stay caught up with my life!! :)
~Where to begin...I will start off saying the weather is bipolar (sorry if this is your 100th time hearing that) ...it doesn't know what temperature to stay at!!
~On October 10th I went to my grandparent's (dad's side) house in Chatsworth. On the 11th (don't know if the dates are right) I received my patriatricahl blessing (grandpa did it)!! We left on the 12th & said goodbye to my grandparent's & my dad who is working in L.A. (he has had the opppurtunity to visit us a couple of times). Hopefully I'll be able to see my dad again before thanksgiving!! :)
~For Halloween i was a Hershey Kiss...I was suprised at how many people didn't know what I was. Somebody thought i was a pear...people these days!! I kind of felt weird being dressed up because kids my age didn't dress up...I guess I'm too old to dress up...oh well!! :)
~HS is going great...it is flying by...but it is keeping me busy. My schedule: seminary, school, homework, dinner, shower, & bed (repeat). When Saturday comes I'm lazy & tired..I really enjoy sleeping in & watching recordings on tv.
~On Wednesday me & a some group of people who ride my bus...took 10 minutes to find our bus. We were at the end of the bus lane & saw a bus all the way in the front stop & we had to run to the bus. Kids in the other buses weren't very happy that they had to wait for us to get on our bus!! It was embarrasing but, really funny!
~On Wednesday for mutual we went to the mission & helped clean the kitchen & organize the pantry!! I enjoyed doing service!
~Today for the first time in a long time I got to play the piano! I play in seminary but, today I got to actually play something besides church hymns (not saying I don't like to play the hymns)!
~Next weekend Shawna, Amanda & the kids are coming down for a week!! I can't wait to spend time with them!! :)
~ That is what I know on the top of my head that has happened between the 5 weeks that I haven't posted!! I'll try to keep you posted!! :)

this morning I opened the door at 6:45 am (to leave for seminary) to a wave of coldness!! :) It was 67 degrees this morning & was under 90 maybe even 85 all day with a breeze!! :) i love it when Yuma is like this..perfect whether!! :)

Shawna & her kids just left for Utah a few minutes ago! FYI: today they officially left for utah (they are moving there)! They should come & visit around November...i have my fingers crossed! First day

Today was my first day of high school!! :) Today was really boring because all we did in every class was go over the syllabuses that our parents have to sign! :( But, i can't wait until next week when we get going! :)
Today was also my first day of seminary which is 7-8am right before school (which starts at 8:30)! It was okay but, people from last year who had my teacher said she wasn't good (but today she was good)! We'll see what happens! :)

its been quite some time since the last time i posted...oops!! :) Today around 9:30 pm i got back from the highlight of my summer!!!:)
~First on Saturday 25th - we went to the south rim of the Grand Canyon!
~Sunday 26th - we went to Glen Canyon Dam, Navajo Bridge, & the North rim of the Grand Canyon!
~Monday 27th - we went to Zion National Park
~Tuesday 28th - we went to Bryce Canyon
~Wednesday 29th - we went to provo canyon & played in the river (with josh & amanda..we stayed at their apartment...which is in provo)
~Thursday 30th - I went to my aunt becky's house and got to see the little Ethopian 3 year old (i think) girl..she's adorable!! Then we went to my cousin Alli's wedding!
~Friday 31st & Saturday Aug. 1st - we had our family reunion in provo with my dad's side (which included my grandpa's siblings & their families)...it was with everybody (even people i didn't know/remembered from '07)!

*Now i'm home back in the heat & i'm sad to say good-bye to the fun i was having with fam in Utah!! I love & miss all of you!!! :)

As usual we went to Seaworld before leaving SD & i had fun!! I love going there & everytime i have to go on Journey to Atlantis and/or Shipwreck Rapids (both of which my parent wear ponchos)! Yesterday after Seaworld we headed back home...so now i'm in yuma's lovely hot weather!! :(

On Tuesday, I went to Body Worlds Muesum with my mom and Haylee! WE were there for about 5 hours and after we left my feet wanted a massage really bad! :) It was really interesting & i learned new things!

I hope that all of you had a great 4th of July!! I know i did!! I got to spend all day with some of my cousins!! We went to Del Mar Fairgrounds, where we looked at animals and the best part was the hypnotist show (it was halirious)!! Then we went to a parking lot by Seaworld and watched about 4 different fireworks!! We were disappointed with the fireworks this year b/c they were shorter than they usually are! :( But, we got to see Seaworlds really close and that was awesome! Well, i left for girl's camp up at Mt. Lemon on Tuesday, June 30th!! It poured the first night that we were there!!! This year was probably the most fun for me (i was a 3rd year this year)!! I was sad that we had only four days instead of 5 days long (like it usually is)!! :( Also, I was sad that some of my leaders couldn't make it!! But, i had a blast and cant' wait to go next year!! As soon as i got home on Friday (late afternoon), i had to unpack and pack to go to SD!! I probably won't be back in yuma until Thursday!! I'll add some pics when i get home but, most of them are of the landscape and scenery around us!! Enjoy!! :)

New Moon

So, I forgot to tell Courtney how to do the blog so I will update for her (for right now)! Courtney moved into her house in Corpis Christi, TX on Tuesday June 2nd. When taking breaks from unpacking she was watching movies. She finished unpacking and decorated her room on Thursday 4th. She doesnt' really know a lot of people and she hopes she'll find some friends in her ballroom dancing class, (which her mom wants her to do). So, that is what i know about Courtney!

Bowling

Tonight from 6-8pm the youth (14-18) are going bowling! It is a replacement for dance! Hopefully i don't make a fool of myself, (I'm not very good at bowling)! But, Brooke is going to be there with me and she says she isn't very good either (that makes me feel a little bit better).

Promotion

Okay on Friday, June 5th I had my 8th grade promotion! I was one out of 3 people (all girls) to get an award for having a 4.0 grade point average. It's kind of funny that they have an 8th grade promotion. We took pics at my house, during the promotion, and with my friends after promotion (some of the pics didnt turn out)! I will try and get the pics on here asap!

Courtney moved this morning to Texas!!!:(:(:(:( When saying our good-byes i started crying, (i actually thought i had composed myself a lot better than i thought i would have)! :( It is going to take awhile to get use to her not being at church and not having someone to always count on!:( It is going to be about a year before we see eachother again. So Wednesday and Thursday Courtney and I were suppose to hang out but, it didn't work out. So, yesterday I went over to the Ellsworth's house (where the Shipley's have been staying)! Both of Courtney's grandparents and her Uncle Dennis and his kids were there. We ate lunch and hung out and then we went to Matt's (courtney's bro) graduation. He gradutated from Yuma High, the best high school in Yuma!!

Courtney came to my house and we started to watch 7 pounds (one of the saddest movies that i've seen)! But, we decided to finish it in the morning because Courtney was tired. So we woke up, ate breakfast, got ready for the day, and finished 7 pounds! Then her family came and picked her up!

Yes I know we should have done something else for our last time together but, we still had fun!

Jazz Band

Well for combined Ym and Yw in April the Mia Maids were in charge! What we did was split up in teams (the leaders picked) and each team went to members (who were already contacted)house's and clean something. The members go to pick out of a list what they wanted us to do at their house (dusting, clean windows, sweeping, vacum, act out a bedtime story, help pack, etc.)! Each place that you went to was worth a certain amount of points and who ever got the most points won! This was a fun way of doing service and telling the members they "got served"! I had a blast preparing and participate in this activity and I hope the others did too.

River Fun!!

I went to the river with Courtney & her fam & the Ellsworths two weeks ago. I got sick the night before (and I'm still trying to get over it) but, I decided to go to the river!! I had a blast and I thought it was a great time to spend with Courtney!

I was going to just hang out in the boat because it was windy, cloudy, and the water was cold! But, then the sun came out and I decided I should go tubing while it was warmer and the water wasn't that bad! We didn't get any pics of us because the battery of the camera died! But, that didn't change the fact that I had a fantastic time! We went on the tube for 3 rounds and I only fell off the last time and I skid across my back and it was the coolest feeling ever!

I'm trying to spend as much time with Courtney before she moves (but she has other friends she wants to hang out with and so its a little harder)!! Courtney's moving early in the morning on May 30th to Texas :( and I'm going to miss her more than anybody!!! I love you Courtney!!!!!!:)

Talent show

So, I did the talent show! I played and sang to 'Keep Holding On' by Avril Lavinge! I performed on Wednesday night and Friday in front of the whole school (except 40 students)! My friends at school were amazed and didn't know I could sing or at least not like that! I was extremely nervous especially in front of my school but, once I started I relaxed! I had a blast and I'm glad people enjoyed it. Shawna or my mom recorded me on Wednesday, I haven't seen it yet, (I'm afraid to). If I figure it out, I might post it so those of you who couldn't make it can see it!

In the talent show the Jazz Band performed because there isn't going to be one next year. So, Ms. Mendez the person incharge of the talent show asked us to perform. I don't think that my family recorded us playing so sorry.

Yesterday at school we started taking the AIMS test (Arizona's standards test thingy)! We have to take it tomorrow and then all next week too! I have to be in my homeroom for wwaayyy too long, and can't talk even when everybody is finished because of the other classes! I get soo tired because I have to read when I'm finished or do a wordsearch (whose print is so small), and its sooo quiet in the room you could hear a pin drop!
**The only good news about this is that we don't have school on Friday, so I get a brake from testing!!

Courtney's b-day

On Friday Courtney had her b-day and invited a couple of friends to watch Monsters vs Aliens (I highly recommend especially if you have kids)!

Then we went to Jack-n-the-Box and walked through the drive thru. We acted like we were inside a car, (Courtney's dad was right behind us in the car). Brooke asked for a diet water and three packets of ketchup, it was so hard not to laugh. Then Courtney's dad order to smoothies for us as we walked up to the window. The person look angry so Brooke asked for some ketchup! After that we dropped people off and I went home!

Then on Saturday I went and ate lunch with her family at Ah So sushi and steak, (we on Saturday cuz we didn't have time to eat dinner and go to the movie). I had a blast and I was glad that I got to spend time with Courtney!

It's Spring Break! Iget to sleep in and don't have to worry about school for a week! Courtney's family moved out of their house on Friday and stayed at a friend's house (they will be moving after graduation):(!

Courtney went to San Diego yesterday and her dad went back to Texas (he came down for her b-day)! Courtney will be back on Wednesday and we're going to hang out and watch 'Knowing'! I hope that everybody has a fantastic and safe break!

Youth Conference

This weekend I went to my first Youth Conference and I had soo much fun!!!! This year the theme 1 Tim. 4:12 which is -" Be and example of the believers..."!
On Friday we:~ checked in and figured out what group we were in (I was in group 8)
~ate dinner
~had 6 35min workshops
~Listened to Elder Wood's talk after the 3rd workshop
On Saturday we:- ate breakfast
-got combined with some other groups and did a service project (my group cleaned the West Wetlands playgrounds)
-we ate lunch
-had 6 workshops (games)
-had a two hour break- then had a dance
Tonight we are: * going to have a fireside!!
*I can't wait to go back next year!! Thank you everybody who spent their time on making this happen, I really appreciate it!!

FINALLY, the results are in (aka ribbons from track)!!! My school got 7th over all the schools, one point off 6th (kind of disappointing 1 point!!)!
My results are:
3rd place~ 200m
5th place~ 4x100m relay

The results are from the City Championship meet the (last one)and the result are from the whole event!! I don't know if it is over all in your weight group,(which is how middle schools do it now), or just over all the whole race!! I was kind of disappointed for not placing in the 100m but, it was really cold, sprinkling, and my first race so, oh well!! I wished that my group did better in the 4x100m relay but, at least we place something!! I'm glad that I got 3rd place and I had a blast. Every time that I pass the finish line I feel great and successful!
I'm sorry that you had to wait so long because of my stupid coach!

My 3rd dance

So, I went to my 3rd dance on Saturday and I still think that my first dance was the best. At the dance Saturday, I asked 2 guys to dance and 1 asked me. What's up with the guys in my stake?? They don't ask the girls to dance, that's kind of their job! I brought my camera to the dance but, I didn't take any pictures (too busy dancing) and my friends didn't take any pictures either, sorry.

I'm going to Youth Conference next weekend, my 1st time. I'm sooo excited!!

So, I'm very disappointed in my coach because he has our ribbons ready and haven't handed them out. So, I have to wait until Tuesday before I get my results. But, I do know that my team got 6th place over all. That is really good because we were 2nd to last smallest team and we didn't even place last year. I'll give you the rest of the results when I get them hopefully on Tuesday.

City Championship

Okay, so yesterday was my 3rd and final track meet. I had to wake up at 6am, be at my school by 6:30am, get on bus and leave school 7am, and we arrived at Kofa at about 7:45am-8am and the sun started to rise. Nobody was there besides my team so, we ate breakfast (I only ate a banana), stretched and jogged a lap. Then the other teams started to arrive. It was a little chilly and (I was wearing my mom's sweats and my jacket over my uniform) the clouds started to cover the clouds. My first race 100 meters it started to sprinkle, it got little bit harder and a lot colder, and by the end of the meet the sun came out and we waited for the results.

100 meters- 15:? (3rd or 4th place don't remember)
4x100 relay- 14:50 (2nd place {I was anchor like all of the races}) *It was a close race side by side and I kind of leapt at the end to try and get first! Our handoffs are what kills us!
200 meters- 31:? (1st place {peope told me that I creamed everyone}) *I took off 5 seconds according to what was given to me by the timers!

Results:
1st place- Gila Vista
2nd place- Woodard
3rd place- Castle Dome
4th place- Somerton
* last year they went all the way to 7th place but, this year I don't know why they didn't.
~ I really want to know what my team got over all because we had more girls this year than last year and we have improved soo much!!
~ Tomorrow, we will recieve our ribbons that we recieved, I can't wait to see what I got, I'll keep you updated!!!

2nd Track Meet

Yesterday I had my 2nd track meet!
-100 meters - 14:09 (3rd place added 1 milli-second)
-4/100 meters - timers didn't get the times down (1st place)
-200 meters - 39: ? (2nd place) * I don't think that I really added 3 seconds to my time
~ I got 2nd place by a step, the 1st place girl and I were running side by side the whole time! I tried to run faster at the very end but, felt like I was going to pass out or something!
*The timers for both meets were high schools who didn't really know how to time or what they were doing!
~ This meet was against different schools than last time!
*My next meet is on Saturday and I have to wake up at 6am on a weekend!!! I have to be at my school by 6:30am to check in and get on a bus by 7am and be at Kofa by 8ish! The track meet starts at 9am and will probably end at 11am or noon! This this will our City Championship and our last track meet!
*Agian my places are based on my heat I don't know what I got in the whole event!

My first week back at school is almost over, yeah! So, I'm on the track team and I noticed how out of shape I am, woo, my legs are soo sore. When I run I get soo tired and sore and sometimes fill like I can't breath or about to throw up. I just need to drink a lot more water through out the day. We only have three meets. Our first one is on the 26th so, wish us luck!

Our Lil' Get away

So, last Friday my parents and my lil' sis. Haylee went to San Diego. We went to Oggi's pizza to eat lunch and it was pretty good. We then went to the temple and took some pictures. We went to Boomers and played minature golf. Then we went to the beach and took pictures of the sunset but, my camera kept turning off because the battery was dying and I didn't get as many as I wanted to. Anyways, we then went to Vejas and ate some Cold Stone, yummy! I had a great time and I will put my pictures on here, asap. Enjoy!

My First Dance!!!

Well, on New Year's Eve I went to my first church dance!!! I had a blast even though I probably look really retarded!! My first slow dance was w/ this guy named Derek (I think), Brooke and Courtney told him to dance w/me. Thankfully, he was a cutie and it looked like he was walking away when he asked me if I wanted to dance. I danced w/ a total of 4 guys at the dance of which 3 of the 4 were cuties!!

I saw Makenzie's (a friend who moved to Idaho), cousin or friend (a guy), (I don't really know how they know eachother). Anyways, he is extremely gorgeous and I wanted to dance w/ him but, never built up the guts/ courage to ask him! I saw him at one Makenzie's birthday partys and I remember him but, he moved to Idaho also a few years ago and is now visiting!! Anyways, I saw him for the first time in about 3 years and recognized him instantly and still have a major crush on him!! Now, I'm figuring out who he is by asking some people about him and hopefully, will find out what his name is!!

Christmas Concert

Okay, I almost forgot about my Jazz Band concert! So, last Tuesday I had my Jazz Band concert and it turned out great. I even got to go carolling for Mutual for about an hour and I arrived at my school ten minutes before I had to. I waited 55 minutes before the Jazz Band played! I was kind of frustrated because I had to leave early from Mutual in order to go to my concert; I could have stayed until 8pm and then go to the concert!! But, oh well at least I was able to go to Mutual for a little while and I had fun!!!

Okay, so its almost Christmas and I still don't have my shopping done! Everytime I think about not having my Christmas shopping done I remember the true meaning of Christmas! I catch myself thinking about all the presents but, it has nothing to do with the presents. Now that I'm older I think a lot less about the present and more about Chirst's birth!! Maybe that is why it is so hard for me to give people ideas of what to give me. Also, I notice how lucky I am and how many things I have and I don't feel like I need anything else. But, again we usually think about what we want more than what we have. I just want to thank my Heavenly Father for all my blessings!

The Wedding

As most of you know my brother Josh got married to Amanda, on Saturday 20th. It turned out great!! Amanda's cousin Brittany, was the Made of Honor and Haylee and I were the bridesmaids. My other bro. Jake was Josh Best Man and Wes thier best friend was the groomsman (there wasn't another groomsman). So, Wes had walked with both Haylee and I on each arm, what a player, (jk)! I loved the wedding and everything about it, it was fun! We took a lot of pictures and everything went smoothly! Now, Josh is just another married sibling that is out of the house! Thank you for all of those who came and I hope that you enjoyed it!

Somerton

So, we made it to the quarter-finals (I think that is what its called)! So, today we played Somerton (idk how to spell it [I'm so retarded]) and we lost BIG time. It was just like playing Woodard again (Sumerton also had a 6'3 girl on their team), that didn't help any! Well, I don't know the score exactly but, I think that it was 43-27, I know totally sad!! I'm kind of disappointed having lost to them. But, I was looking back on how horrible we were last year and how much we have improved. Last year we only won two games, which were both against 4th Ave.! Now, this year we won 5-9 games and one game that we played (but lost) was today's the quarter-finals!! I'm just soo grateful for a wonderful, experienced coach, who rocks, thank you for taking your time to help us out!! I'm also soo proud of my team and how much work we have done and how hard we worked. I'm so sad to see the basketball season come to an end. I'm going to miss you girls and the times that we have had, I love all of ya!!!!!

2,4,6,8, who do we appreciate, monsters, monsters, yeah!!! So, today we played against Gila Vista and we WON!! The score was 22-19, it got really suspenseful when there were only 3 minutes left. I was afraid that we were going to lose but, I'm so glad that we won! I think that we are tied in 2nd place (with Gila Vista) over all of my district's middle schools; so we have to flip a coin and see who we play in the other district. We will figure out tomorrow during practice, I can't wait!

Jazz Band

Okay so, on Friday for my birthday party I went to see 'Twilight' with some friends. It was okay (I guess), I gave it a 3 on a scale 1-10. One reason I didn't really like it was being the fact that I read the books and kind of compared the two, (the books are just unbeatable)! I know that movies never live up to the books, (disappointment). Well, anyways I still had fun.

Then yesterday (my real birthday) I opened presents and ate an oreo ice cream cake, delicious!! We had the missionaries come over because it was Elder Carlson's b-day also, so we gave them some cake. I'm 14 years old now, I just can't believe how fast time flies!!!

2nd Round

So, we played Woodard last night. The score was 46-24, I know it's pretty bad but, we had fun. In the 3rd quarter we started racking up the points and were only 9 points behind! But, then in the 4th quarter Woodard put in their best players and nobody would cover Casey (the best and tallest girl on the Woodard team about 5'11")! I was the only one who would guard and she never got the ball but, then when I was out nobody would guard her, so she always got the rebound and the ball! Oh well, win or lose I still had fun. Good job girls, I'm sooo proud of you!

2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate the Falcons, Falcons YEAH!!! So, today RWMS played 4th Ave for the second and final time and ..... we WON!!! The score was 37-13!!! Yes, we beat them both times and now have to worry about beating the trash out of the other teams, heck yes! Now the fun begins!!

RWMS v.s Castle Dome

Okay so, we played Castle Dome Thursday and ..... we WON!!!! Yes, we actually beat Castle Dome, the score was 26-8! We were sooo happy and suprised. When we were in line saying "good game" some of the Castle Dome players didn't say "good game". Well, it just shows the attitude that they have when they lose.
Well, what's kind of funny, is that when my team plays, if we win the 7th graders win but, if we lose the 7th graders lose. So, we say that we're good and bad luck to the 7th graders. Well, we have a game on Monday and I think it is against Gila Vista. Who ever we play, this is the last game that the 8th graders go first. The first four games 8th graders play first and then the last four games the 7th graders start first.

4th Ave. and Woodard

So if you have read Haylee's blog, you will know that we had a couple of basketball games. The first game was against 4th Ave. (the easiest team to beat) and we won 44 - 10! Then our second game we played against Woodard (the hardest team to beat), we lost 50 - 29! I know we didn't do so well but, that was the best game that we played against them, and we usually get creamed (worse than the score you just read)! At yesterday's practice my coach told us, that a man (who's grand daughter's are on the Woodard basketball team) said, that WE were 200% better than any RWMS team that has played them!
So, the next game is against Castle Dome (the 2nd hardest team to beat)! We play them Thursday and only have 1 more day for practice. I know that we will do a great job! I just want to say, that our team has improved sooo much (1 reason being that, we have a great coach), and I also want to say GOOD JOB girls you are great!

On Thursday, I had a Jazz band concert at my school (Haylee sang in the choir at the concert), we did great. Okay to explain this we had a Jazz band, choir and Honor choir conecrt on Thursday at my school (7-8pm), understand now? Anyways, I played the keyboard but, nobody could really hear me because it was the sound was to low, (it was at a decent level when we were checking it but, when the whole band played you could barely hear me)! I couldn't even hear myself and the speaker was right next to me, pitiful I know. At my next concert, I'm going to turn it up when I can't hear myself. Well, besides that, the concert was good. I hope the people who came enjoyed it as much as I did. My teacher from second grade (Mrs. Henderson, of whom I stay in contact with) came. I was so happy to see her again. I saw her right before school started. Thank you for those who came, my next concert is Tuesday, December 16th!

I made the 8th grade basketball team (I'm probably the worst player), I've seen myself improve soo much since we started! After a dreadful trip to the mall with my mom yelling at me almost the whole time, my mom FINALLY let me get a new pair of tennis shoes. Our weekend

Yesterday Courtney and I went to Jack-n-the-Box and then went to our friends house (Jessica), for her birthday party. It was from 6pm - 9pm, she had a live dj there, and we went swimmning, danced and did karaoke. We had a blast, thanks Jessica for inviting us! After the party I went to Courtney's house and spent the night. Then today we left at 9am had breakfast, and went to the river (with Courtney's parent's friend), with their friend's new boat. We went and swam, drove around, and watched Courtney's dad wake board. I had a terrific weekend!

BUSY!!!

Hey, you guys, I'm sorry that I haven't been posting. I have been soo busy. School just started about a month ago, (I'm an 8th grader now). It is so crazy how busy you can get! School has gone by quickly already, that means the sooner it is over! YEAH BABY!!! I want school to end but, I don't because during the summer Courtney is moving to Texas! I'm going to miss you, Courtney. You'll always be my best friend no matter what, I will always love you, babe!
Well, Courtney and I are still having a blast! The sad thing is that we only see eachother at church Sunday and Tuesday (for Mutual). Since school started we have only spent one weekend with eachother. Hopefully, soon we can have more memories to post about.
The second slideshow is of us at the river with our ward for Mutual! We are all hoping to do it again soon. I got a big tube burn (what ever you want to call it) from my elbow to about half down my arm. I'm not going to show you guys the pictures because they aren't really good, my brother asked " Who's those pansy pictures of?"! Well, I had a blast and only fell off once!

This is the first of many we hope! Courtney and I should have lots to talk about here. While we have known eachother for a few years, it has only been about 2 years since we have discovered how much alike we really are. Here is to BEST FRIENDS!!!
